The installation included works by Max Beckmann, Lyonel Feininger, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Otto Müller, Emil Nolde, and others.

Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC Alan Shestack, deputy director, coordinated the installation.
