Washington, DC—The National Gallery of Art, Washington, is pleased to announce that Starr Catering Group (SCG) has been awarded the contract for food services provider in four visitor dining areas of the East and West Buildings—the group's first venture in Washington, DC. Starr Catering Group assumed charge of the food and beverage operations beginning on October 1, 2016, coinciding with the reopening of the East Building.

Starr Catering Group will redesign and refresh the offerings with exciting new menus and presentation at the Gallery providing a varied dining experience for visitors.

Within the East Building, the Terrace Café overlooking the atrium of the stunning I.M. Pei-designed East Building, will feature SCG's Parliament coffee, artisan baked goods, and freshly prepared and packaged sandwiches and salads.

Within the West Building, the Garden Café will offer a full service restaurant experience, and a Chef's Table with a seasonal, healthful menu, and a curated wine list.

The Cascade Café will complement the West Building dining experience with a creative and unique food court-style café featuring tossed to order salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and house made soups. Among the offerings are a whimsical chicken concept named The Coop, and the Artist's Table, which will feature a rotating selection of menu items inspired by the collections on view at the Gallery. The Espresso and Gelato Bar will feature Starr Catering Group's own proprietary Parliament espresso and coffee, house made gelato, artisan baked goods, and grab and go lunch items.
