Washington, DC—The National Gallery of Art's wildly successful program Evenings at the Edge returns for the 2017-2018 season with four events on November 9, January 11, March 8, and May 10. Programs will continue to take place on the second Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the I. M. Pei-designed East Building. The 19-degree knife-edge angle of the East Building was the inspiration for the program's title.

This popular event for Washingtonians and visitors to the city offers guests a vibrant mix of art and entertainment. An opportunity not only to explore the Gallery's collection and exhibitions after hours, these events allow visitors to enjoy free live music, theatrical performances, films, discussions, pop-up talks, tours, and a chance to spend a leisurely evening with friends, family, and colleagues. Visitors are encouraged to tag their evening experience using #nganights.

Admission to Evenings at the Edge is free, but registration is required. To register and find out more, visit nga.gov/evenings . Light fare and beverages, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase; must be 21 to purchase alcoholic beverages.

The East Building of the National Gallery of Art is located at Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
