International Expositions

The department of image collections maintains a large collection of photographs, albums, and postcard booklets from national and international expositions and fairs. Spectacular architecture, displays of technological innovations, both scientific and mechanical, and exhibitions of fine art are documented in these historic images. The collection includes views from the fairs listed below, with features for Philadelphia (1876), Paris (1889), and Paris (1900).
