Alexandra Libby

Alexandra Libby is associate curator of northern baroque paintings at the National Gallery of Art, where she has curated the exhibition Water, Wind, and Waves: Marine Paintings from the Dutch Golden Age (2018) and cocurated Vermeer’s Secrets (2022). Prior to joining the National Gallery, she was assistant curator of European art at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. She has published widely on 17th-century Dutch and Flemish painting, including contributions to The Leiden Collection Online Scholarly Catalogue (2016) and to the journals Artibus et Historiae and Journal of Historians of Netherlandish Art.
