The Art of . . .

The Art of . . .

Through discussions in front of original works of art in the National Gallery, this workshop will help explore and practice skills around visual literacy, communication, and perspective taking, as well cultivating empathy. Small group and individual activities and exercises in the galleries will encourage you to engage deeply with art, with others, and with the world around you.

Each of the four sessions in this program will focus on a different topic, so participants are invited to register for all four sessions.

The program is designed for everyone interested in talking about art. No art or art history background is required.

How Registration Works

This program is free and open to the public, but you must register in advance due to limited space. Ages 18 and over.

Registration opens at noon on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. On that day, a registration button will be added below. If the button does not appear at noon, try refreshing your browser.

Each workshop topic is repeated twice. Please register for one date per topic.
