The Gallery is no longer taking School Tour requests for the 2107–2018 academic year.
Request for Fall tours (September 24 – December 7, 2018) will begin on August 1 – November 3, 2018.
Students will encounter original works of art on docent-led tours that complement and enhance classroom learning. They will take time to look carefully, ask questions, and develop their own interpretations. Through open-ended discussion, students will discover that art can possess multiple layers of meaning. Their shared endeavor—in which all voices are valued—becomes a powerful learning experience that will be memorable and meaningful.
Tour Request Forms
Tours must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance. Groups must contain at least 15 students.
Once your tour has been scheduled, you will receive a confirmation letter via mail in 10 business days (14 days for Spanish-language tours).
Cancel or Change a Tour
To cancel or change a tour, please call (202) 842-6249 as soon as possible. Tour slots are limited so if you need to cancel your tour please let us know so we can make the tour slot available to other groups.
