Teaching Artists Showcase
Apply to the Teaching Artist Showcase at the National Gallery of Art!
The education division at the National Gallery of Art invites 3 DC-based teaching artists to display their visual art in the East Building Education Studio and facilitate a meet-and-greet-style educational program during an Evenings at the Edge event. Each event will showcase the work of one teaching artist, who will also be invited to demonstrate materials or processes related to teaching or artistic practice.
Held on the second Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Evenings at the Edge features works of art, live music and dance performances, pop-up talks, and hands-on art-making throughout the East Building, free of charge. Evenings at the Edge regularly welcomes more than 2,000 attendees. The 2019 spring events will be March 14, April 11, and May 9.
