Considering Caillebotte

Gustave Caillebotte: The Painter’s Eye (on view from June 28, 2015 through October 4, 2015) brings together 55 paintings by the artist, many of them from private collections. As there is no major public repository of Caillebotte’s work, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the paintings by this lesser known impressionist "in the flesh." Here, art historians share their thoughts on some of the works in the show.
