Overview: Medals and coins were popular collectors’ items as far back as antiquity. Focusing on France, Italy, and England, this exhibition looked at the relationship between this collecting activity, and a genre of printed books that grew up around it from the 16th to the 18th century.

Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art. Lamia Doumato, Head of Reader Services, was curator.
