Biography

Bloc was born in about 1545 in Antwerp, his place and date of death are unknown. He may be identical with a Coenraad Bloc who was banned from the city for his support for the Anabaptists in 1566. He was admitted to the goldsmith's guild in Antwerp in 1578. His earliest dated medal is of 1575, his latest of 1602. Twenty medals are attributed to him.
