Prestonfield Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham, 9th Bt.

Biography

Son of the 8th Baronet, Sir William Hamner, and his wife Susan Steuart, daughter of J.A. Steuart, Esq., of Perthshire, Robert Keith succeeded his father as 9th Baronet in 1871. He was the grandson of Sir Alexander Dick (1703-1785). Robert Keith married, in 1864, Sarah Mary, the only daughter of William Hetherington, Esq., of Cheshire. They had three daughters and three sons, the eldest of which, William, succeeded his father as 10th Baronet. Sir Robert was educated at Edinburgh Academy and in Bonn, and was a lieutenant in the 93rd Highlanders.
