Robinson, Catherine

Canadian, early 20th century

Biography

Catherine Robinson was the daughter of Catherine Boone Robinson and her husband, of Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada. She inherited from her mother a portrait of a male ancester (NGA 1957.11.9), possibly Samuel Willson, that had been passed down in the family through several generations. Miss Robinson apparently sold the painting around 1940.
