Methuen, Paul Cobb

British, 1752 - 1816

Biography

Paul Cobb Methuen served as a Member of Parliament for Great Bedwin. On 20 April 1776, he married Matilda, daughter of Sir Thomas Gooch, 3rd Baronet of Benacre, Suffolk. They had four sons and four daughters; the eldest son, also named Paul, became the 1st Baron Methuen.
