Employee Viewpoint Survey
In 2014, the National Gallery of Art again participated in the government's Employee Viewpoint Survey. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) surveyed more than 392,000 permanent, federal employees, requesting their opinions on leadership, job satisfaction, and work-life issues. Government-wide survey results are not yet available.
At the Gallery, 770 federal employees were surveyed and 323 replied, for a response rate of 42 percent. (The government-wide response rate was close to 47 percent.) The survey included 84 questions. The Gallery’s 2014 responses on 22 questions exceeded the "percent positive" government-wide average by five or more points and on 14 questions, exceeded the small agency combined average by five or more points.
