Employee Viewpoint Survey
In 2012, the National Gallery of Art again participated in the government's Employee Viewpoint Survey. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) surveyed more than 500,000 permanent, federal employees, requesting their opinions on leadership, job satisfaction, and work-life issues. Government-wide survey results are not yet available.
At the Gallery, 761 employees were surveyed and 336 replied, for a response rate of over 44 percent. (The government-wide response rate was 46 percent.) The survey included 84 questions. Compared to 2011, the Gallery's 2012 responses on 11 questions exceeded the "percent positive" average by five or more points
