Overview: 19th-century art supply catalogues, instruction manuals, artists' gear, and images of artists at work selected from the National Gallery of Art Library and conservation department were shown in this library display held in association with the exhibition In the Forest of Fontainebleau: Painters and Photographers from Corot to Manet. The presentation was organized in sections for oil painting, works on paper, and photography.

Organization: The installation was organized by the National Gallery of Art. Neal Turtell, executive librarian, National Gallery of Art, and Yuri Long, library researcher, were curators.
