    Artwork

    The image depicts a landscape scene from a slightly elevated perspective, suggesting a view from a hillside looking down into a valley. The horizon is in the upper third of the image, with the sky meeting distant hills and faint outlines of castle-like structures. Loose, sketch-like brushstrokes convey a sense of quick study or draft. The use of ink wash and pen creates a monochromatic color palette ranging from light beige to deep browns. A path winds up a slope with a wooden fence or structure on the right, and two figures are on the path as it descends into the valley. In the distance, clusters of trees and shrubs surround scattered ruins on the horizon, adding depth. Lightly sketched clouds add texture to the sky.
