This is a drawing of industrial workers around a large machine in a factory setting. The scene includes a monumental industrial machine, possibly a boiler or a large tank, with rivets and a circular cap on top, in the background. In the foreground, a group of workers stands in a semi-circle, looking forward. The intricate use of crosshatching and shading gives detail to the machinery and texture to the workers' clothing. Smokestacks with smoke can be seen in the distance. The use of line and form emphasizes the strength and dignity of the workers.
