The person's facial features are partially obscured by a shadow from a wide-brimmed hat they are wearing, with their face turned slightly to the right. The visible part of the face shows prominent cheekbones and a pronounced chin. The person has grey or white hair visible under the hat. Their hands are clasped together in the foreground, showing detailed lines indicative of age. The individual appears to be wearing a coat or jacket, suggested by the cuff visible against the hat. The background is darker with faint outlines implying an indoor space, possibly with shelves or a window reflecting architectural features. The image's monochrome contrast emphasizes these elements.
