The image shows two individuals seated on a stone bench. The person on the left leans towards the other, with one arm around their back, while the person on the right leans back slightly against them. The left person has curly, shoulder-length hair. The right person has hair styled up with curls framing their face, which is turned slightly away from the viewer. The individuals wear clothing reminiscent of historical, possibly 18th-century fashion, long dresses with voluminous skirts and fitted bodices. Around them, there is a large decorative urn on a stone plinth to the left, partially surrounded by leafy foliage. A basket with an array of fruits is on the ground to the right. In the background, dense foliage with a hint of a sculpted bust or statue partially obscured by leaves adds to the classical setting. The scene is rendered in sepia tones.
