The image shows a sepia-toned oval portrait of a woman. She is wearing a dark dress with puffed sleeves and lace detailing on the collar. Her hair is styled up, and her facial features include a high forehead, defined cheekbones, and slightly turned eyes. A white fabric drapes over her clothing. Above the portrait are illustrations of an owl and a small animal on branches. The background has a textured design, resembling brushstrokes or clouds. The bottom of the image includes the signature and branding of a photographic studio, "Gardner Extra Finish, Napoleon, Ohio." The photo has a scalloped edge border.
