This is a drawing depicting a political scene. The image includes an old woman standing in a doorway, pushing out a smaller figure holding a bundle. The bundle is labeled "Insurgent Republican Congressman" and the figure's clothing is labeled "Roosevelt Policies." The old woman is labeled "Cannon," and another figure behind her is labeled "Taft." The scene is titled "The Wicked Stepmother" and features cross-hatching lines that suggest rain or poor weather as the smaller figure is pushed outside. The labels and title contribute to the political commentary of the piece.
