The image shows a river with a rowing stem bridge in the distance. The bridge, made of stone arches and iron truss sections, separates the sky from the water. The horizon is low with a vast sky dominating the composition in a light cream color. Near the viewer are rocks, planks, and remnants of industrial activity with smoke rising in the background. The style is precise with delicate lines, depicting a serene riverfront scene. A sailboat is on the river with its mast pointing upward. The artwork conveys calmness through hatching and minimal detail, creating a monochromatic feel.
