    Artwork

This is a drawing of an artist's studio with a person examining a paper. The scene includes a detailed black-and-white woodcut-style artwork set in a cluttered artist’s studio. In the center, there is a printing press with a large wheel and circular ink containers. The individual is inspecting a sheet, possibly a freshly printed artwork. The shelves are lined with books and papers, suggesting a space dedicated to creative work. Two bust sculptures are positioned on either side, and a framed picture hangs on the right background wall. The intricate lines and crosshatch shading provide texture and depth to the image.
Carmelo González, Grabado dentro de su taller (Printmaker in His Workshop), c.1954, woodcut on wove paper, Gift of The Armand-Paul Family Collection in honor of Dr. Natalia Ángeles Vieyra, 2025.7.2
