The image depicts a vertical structure made up of irregular, curvilinear shapes resembling a whimsical tower, with abstract, brightly colored bird-like figures placed at different levels. To the right, a tall figure in a red coat holds a chain connected to the structure, seemingly interacting with one of the blue bird-like figures. The shapes and creatures suggest a fantastical birdhouse, blending elements of avian forms with a surreal touch.

Vendedor del Carrito

Guillermo Silva Santamaría · 1963 · color engraving ·  Accession ID  1964.8.1530

This is a painting of a knight in armor riding swiftly on a galloping horse. The knight is clad in intricately detailed armor, riding forward and wielding a long lance with a bird perched at the end. The horse is depicted in profile, covered with a richly patterned red caparison. The background is minimalist to emphasize the central subject. The style resembles that of artist Paul Klee, known for blending abstraction with recognizable forms.
