    Artwork

The image is a portrait showing the upper body of a woman from the shoulders up. She has a composed expression, delicate facial features, and short, wavy hair. She wears an elaborate garment with intricate patterns and a large, stiff lace collar. She has a beaded necklace around her neck and an ornate chain with a cross pendant. The portrait is encircled with text featuring her name and titles, and below the image is a block of text in a poetic format. The artwork likely uses an engraving technique due to the detailed line work and shading throughout.
Jean Picquet, Anne of Austria, Wife of Louis XIII, c. 1620-1650, engraving on laid paper, Rosenwald Collection, 1950.14.39
