The image is a detailed etching of Mont Saint-Michel, viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. The island's architecture is visible, with the spired abbey standing out against swirling clouds in the background. The linework is meticulous, using fine lines and cross-hatching techniques to convey texture and depth in the rocky base and buildings. The color palette is monochrome, with shades of black, white, and grey. Small boats are docked by the shore, and figures can be seen in conversation, adding a human element to the architectural vista.
