Artist, Flemish, c. 1567 - 1624 or after

The image depicts a landscape with a river flowing towards a multi-arched bridge in the distance. The horizon meets the sky at the top third of the image, where mountains are visible. The scene is drawn in a sketchy and detailed style, with fine lines and cross-hatching showing the texture of trees, buildings, and water. Washes and shading in sepia tones give the drawing a monochromatic and warm appearance. Buildings line the riverbank, and architecture can be seen on the hills. The river is shown with diagonal lines indicating movement towards the bridge under the contour of distant hills.
