The image shows an engraved portrait of a man, depicting him from the chest upwards. He is positioned facing slightly towards the right with his gaze directed towards the viewer. The man has notable facial features with a long, narrow face, an aquiline nose, and a neatly styled mustache and short goatee. His hair is closely cropped around his head and is graying. He is wearing a large, elaborate ruff collar and a dark, buttoned garment with a subtle vertical pattern on the chest. The background consists of a solid dark texture, typical of engraved portraits. The engraving also includes decorative script and text below the portrait.
