The image depicts an engraving of a man from the waist up. He is shown slightly turned to his left with a solemn expression. The man has prominent cheekbones, a straight nose, and a well-groomed beard. His hair is dark and chin-length, partially covered by a cap. He is wearing a dark robe with a wide white collar tied with a ribbon at the neck, and a draped mantle over his shoulders. The background has a textured pattern and there is Latin text above and below the portrait.
