This is a drawing depicting a scene with a central figure and a cross in the background. The drawing features a central, emaciated figure draped across the lap of a seated figure. Both figures are rendered in strong lines characteristic of woodcuts, with emphasis on folds of fabric and anatomical details. The cross in the background has a draped cloth, and a circular form near the central figure's head. Surrounding elements include a thorny crown and barren tree branches.
