Artist, French, 1803 - 1886

The image shows an old, thatched-roof cottage. The horizon is positioned just above the roofline. The cottage has two chimneys protruding upwards. The drawing style includes pen strokes, hatching, and cross-hatching for texture and shadows. The color palette is monochromatic, with black ink on an off-white background. The ground near the cottage is uneven with some indistinct objects, and there is foliage near one of the doors. Faint clouds are sketched in the sky above the roof.
