This is a drawing of a narrative scene set in an ancient cityscape. The drawing depicts a gathering of figures, with one individual, dressed in elaborate robes, standing elevated above others at what appears to be the entrance to a building. The surrounding figures, dressed in clothing suggesting a historic period, appear to be engaged in a discussion or confrontation. The background shows an architectural setting with tall buildings, a starry sky, and a few figures holding long staffs or torches. The setting and style of the drawing is suggestive of a medieval or Renaissance period. Fine lines and shading are used to create depth and texture, typical of engravings of this period.
