The image depicts two figures, both visible from the waist up. The central figure is seated and is positioned in profile, facing to the left. This figure appears to be an older man with a prominent, long beard and a full head of hair. He is draped in a classical style robe that covers one shoulder and falls around his torso. His right hand is extended, holding a quill poised above a writing surface. Behind him, slightly to the left, is another figure, possibly a child or young angel, standing and looking intently at the seated man. This figure holds a cup and is partially obscured by the man's shoulder. The young figure has curly hair. A large wing is visible protruding behind the elder figure. The background includes drapery. On the right-hand side, a panel contains text with Latin script.
