This is a drawing of an outstretched wing. The drawing shows a detailed study of a single large wing spanning from the bottom left to the top right of the page. It is shaded to bring out the texture and volume of the feathers, and executed with fine shading and cross-hatching. Grid lines are lightly sketched across the paper. The overall tone is soft with emphasis on the wing's natural curve.
