This is a photograph of a stitched sampler. The sampler features a series of letters and numbers on a piece of beige fabric. The letters are arranged in several lines with different colored threads, including dark brown and lighter shades. There are decorative elements around the edges with patterns created by a continuous line of stitching. In the center of the sampler, there are larger letters. It is dated "April 28, 1788" at the bottom.
