The image depicts a man shown from the waist up, positioned in profile with his attention focused on a book in front of him. His face has prominent features, including a deep-set brow and a long beard. He has short hair under a circular halo above his head. In the background, there is a wall with a hat hanging on it, and in the foreground, a crucifix is prominently placed. The image is monochromatic with lines and shading.
