The image shows two people inside a dimly lit bedroom. One person is sitting up on a bed with their head resting on a hand. The other person, a woman with short dark hair, is also seated on the bed, facing to the side. She is holding a candleholder with an unlit candle, with her back partially turned towards the viewer. The bed is made of metal with bars, and the bedding appears rumpled and soft. Behind the woman, a curtain is faintly outlined.
