Artist, Italian, 1890 - 1964

The image shows a low angle view looking upwards at two tall buildings dominating the composition. The horizon is low, allowing the structures to appear towering and almost reaching the top of the frame. The architectural forms are depicted with precise, linear brushstrokes conveying structure and solidity. The color palette is muted, mainly shades of gray. Beyond the buildings, there is a textured area suggesting foliage, adding depth to the scene. Cross-hatching is used for shading, creating a play of light and shadow in the buildings and the sky.
