The image shows a coastal scene with an elevated view overlooking a small inlet or river mouth. The horizon line features a village with a church at the center. The etching technique is used to create intricate lines defining the landscape, water, and buildings. The color palette is monochromatic in shades of sepia and black. Close to us are rocky banks with moored boats and figures. In the background, houses and trees surround the church, extending into the countryside.
