The image shows three men in the foreground, visible from the waist up, positioned at a bar or counter. The man on the left has a distinctive, angular face with a prominent nose and wears a hat. The man next to him holds a pipe between his lips, with a cheerful expression. The third man appears to be in shadow, wearing a peaked cap and a coat, his features largely obscured. He holds a mug in his hand and seems to be in conversation with the other two. The men are dressed in dark, simple clothing. In the background, additional patrons are sitting around a stove, some wearing hats. The room is adorned with framed pictures on the wall, and a large, metal stove is placed towards the right. Through a large window in the distance, outside signage reading "Established 1884" can be partially seen.
