This is a drawing of a sampler showcasing various sets of the alphabet and a message. The sampler features rows of alphabets in both uppercase and lowercase, executed in intricate, precise needlework, displaying the alphabet in various styles. Numbers are also stitched in one of the rows. The piece is bordered with an ornate floral pattern in shades of blue and green. At the bottom, there is a message stitched in black that reads: "Within my breast may peace a dwelling find, Easy my heart well kind to all mankind, Marcia Bryant, AE: 12/1821." The center of the bottom features a more elaborate floral motif.
