The image shows a view of a busy waterfront scene with a large bridge in the background. A boat with smokestacks is on the left, and people are gathered on the right, some playing games or chatting. The buildings on the right are detailed with windows and bricked facades. The pencil strokes create realistic textures. The color palette is grayscale, giving a historical feel. Light comes from the upper right, casting shadows.
