This is a drawing of an industrial and urban scene under a stormy sky. The composition shows a cityscape with industrial and urban elements. In the background, dark clouds and lightning dominate the sky above a silhouetted skyline of geometric skyscrapers. A streamlined train moves across a large, arched bridge. To the right, two grand columns suggest a classical architecture influence. Below them, a structure is labeled "Shott's Iron Works." In the foreground, a billboard advertises "Pfanner's Beer" with an illustration of a man holding a beer bottle. A small brick building with windows and a chimney sits next to a detailed tree. The scene is rendered in monochromatic tones, using hatching and cross-hatching for texture and depth.
