Associated Names
Jasper Johns

Artist, American, born 1930

The image features an array of geometric shapes and lines with a predominance of sharp angles and curves. Three circular forms lie at the top, framed by arched rectangular shapes. The curved lines and shapes form a composition. Elements resembling a hand or glove are subtly incorporated into the scene. Additionally, there are objects that can be associated with mountaineering tools, such as two ice axes crossed over a book or paper with the word "CHUTE DE GLACE" visible.
