The image shows an old stone castle surrounded by trees. A tall spire and turret rise above the castle. The horizon is low in the composition, mostly hidden by tree foliage. The drawing is detailed with intricate lines and cross-hatching, creating textures and shadows on the stone and vegetation. The color palette is monochrome sepia. A small river flows near the castle with shrubs on its banks. A small figure sits near the stream. Trees continue into the background.
