The image is an engraving showing the upper body of a man in an oval frame. The man faces forward with a slightly angled head. He has deep-set eyes, a pronounced nose, and a thick beard. He has curly hair that recedes at the temples and wears a buttoned garment with a high collar. There is no visible jewelry. The background is plain and the oval frame has Latin inscriptions around its perimeter.
