This is a photograph of numerous pairs of black boots placed in a grid-like formation on a flat surface. The boots are arranged in rows and spaced evenly apart from each other. Many of the boots have identification tags attached, some of which have photographs. The image is in black and white, providing a stark contrast between the boots and the lighter concrete ground. The setting suggests a sense of order and uniformity. The perspective and repetitive pattern of the boots create a sense of depth.
