The image shows a low vantage point looking across a body of water towards the opposite shore. The horizon is in the middle of the view, with a small townscape featuring buildings and a prominent steeple above the tree line. Trees on both sides frame the scene, with clusters in the middle and towards the edges. The image is a cyanotype, giving it blue tones. The water nearby reflects the sky subtly. Various shades of blue create depth and detail, with rolling hills in the distance against the lighter sky.
