The image features two individuals seated outdoors on rocky terrain, engaged in conversation or contemplation. Both figures are captured from at least the waist up. The person on the left has soft facial features and curly hair, while the individual on the right has more expressive hair and beard. They are both clothed in draped garments. The setting includes expressive trees with sweeping branches and a landscape with hills or a distant view. The artwork is bordered.
